H1: Let’s Open Some Books Together
It’s OpenEd Manitoba’s mission to make education more accessible for all – especially right here in Manitoba.
Our Manitoba Open Textbook Initiative guides members of Manitoba’s post-secondary community through the process of using Open Educational Resources (OERs) in their teaching and learning activities.
By incorporating learning materials that fall under Creative Commons licensing in their courses, faculty can increase the access that students have to higher education: one book at a time. We think those savings are something to celebrate.

Campus Manitoba’s administrative office is located on Treaty 2 territory, with offices in Treaty 1 territory, the shared traditional lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Assiniboine, Dakota and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. Let this acknowledgement be an opening for us to learn more about the land we live on and envision a way to challenge racism, inequality and colonialism.
